Felix Eduardo
My name is Felix Eduardo and I am a sophomore majoring in Physics and Computer Science. A successful education comes not just from teaching one what to think, but how to think, in hopes that one will outshine the Master and increase collective knowledge. I am glad to be a part of an empowering institution that aims to accomplish such goal. The Honors College has been a win-win investment for me, as it has not only helped me obtain the knowledge that future employers expect, but also the inspiration to reach for the highest possible state of mind, increase confidence in my intellectual being, and develop awareness of the many perspectives that the visionary professors feel are important for students to understand. The vivid lectures that the Honors professors present, combined with the small-ratio, discussion-based setting that all Honors classes have, give me the motivation and strength to excel and have higher expectations of myself. It is an absolute pleasure to take classes in which feeling enlightened is truly unavoidable.
Sagar
Hi, my name is Sagar, and I am a first year Honors College student at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. I currently plan to major in Finance, Economics, and Management, and minor in Math and Business Law. Being in the Honors College is truly one of the best educational experiences I have had. At the Honors College, I found students, as well as faculty, who share a passion for education and a thirst to learn. The small classes offer an ever-greater understanding of what the College, its professors, and its students have to offer: an encouraging environment to learn from the best of teachers as well as from the best of friends. I was so impacted by the solidarity of the Honors College, that I decided to join the Honors College Student Council and become the Community Service Director. I have therefore come to learn that the Honors College not only represents scholars, but also leaders, citizens, and individuals.

Simply stated, I am in love with the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Ever since I attended high school, UNLV has always been my first choice as a university. Not only is this university an academic institution in the auspicious and thriving city of Las Vegas, but it also fosters a supportive and compassionate atmosphere for all of its students. I sincerely feel proud, privileged, and honored to be a member of the UNLV family and especially of the Honors College. As a current sophomore, I am pursuing a dual major in Psychology and Computer Engineering. After graduation, I endeavor to fulfill my lifelong dreams of attending law school and becoming an attorney and a United States Supreme Court Justice. My desire to pursue diverse interests has always been embraced by the Honors College, and the benevolent individuals at the College have been as helpful and as accommodating as possible. They have also introduced me to a plethora of magnificent and prestigious extracurricular opportunities, such as the UNLV Student Ambassador program. Moreover, the Honors College constantly encourages thought-provoking and intellectual discussion, a quality that I greatly appreciate and admire, and the classes that are offered are small in size and allow for specialized attention for students. The professors are compassionate and are among the most brilliant that I have had the privilege of meeting. However, this remarkable institution has been much more than a scholarly paradise that cultivates the precious ideals of imagination, innovation, and integrity; it is my home. I greatly encourage everyone to consider enrolling at UNLV and becoming a member of the esteemed Honors College family.
